We have talked many times over the winter about where we might go on Chrissie this year, and it all depends on the pandemic.
Ideas such as seeing friends in Leek, which would involve the Caldon Canal and Leek arm, both off the Trent and Mersey Canal at Etruria.
We’d done this section before with our last boat Eliza Jane and enjoyed the area, especially at the end of the Caldon at Froghall where there’s the remains of the old Lime Kilns.
The Lancaster Canal has been on the books for some time now, we nearly made it in 2019 but due to water shortages abandoned it.
So we’ll just have to see how it all pans out.
