In Aston Marina for June

We decided to stay in the Marina and visit friends locally. Just making short trips out and back with guests onboard.
But we’ve been very busy getting Chrissie ship-shape after 2 winters of neglect.

This swan has 2 cygnets, although it’s clutch was much larger. It spent some time having a bath at the front of our boat, finishing off with this move to dry feathers.

We’ve spent a long time cleaning and polishing, including T-cutting and buffing the cabin sides which had become quite dull from neglect. Even the cratch cover (a term used for the cover over the bow well deck) was suffering with verdigris, but I think I’ve found a solution for cleaning it.
Whilst based in the marina we’ve had the chance to catch up with friends locally and take walks in the area. Aston-by-Stone hamlet is charming and the church well worth spending some time at.
