Over the winter we’ve been watching the growth of new hotel at Sandy Park where Exeter Chiefs have their rugby ground. It will be called the Courtyard. A nine storey £25M development. Chiefs will own it but marriot have a 30 year lease to run it.
The hotel will also provide leisure facilities on the ground floor, and a rooftop cocktail bar and restaurant overlooking the River Exe Estuary.
The hotel is now linked by a footbridge to the Rugby ground and this huge crane was employed to lift it into place.
