Chrissie was for sale at Crick Boat Show over the Jubilee weekend, and she is now sold. We are delivering her to Cheshire for the new owners.

About Chrissie.
With my canal history leading back to the early 60s, and as newlyweds in the 70s with hire boats, plus our own boats, Naiad in 2005 and Eliza Jane in 2014, we knew what we wanted as the perfect long term cruising/liveaboard boat.
So Chrissie is a 60 foot high spec bespoke Trad style Narrowboat, built and fully fitted out by the highly respected boat builders at Stoke Boats in 2016. She is build number 297 and sleeps 4 easily, plus 2 on a Click-Clack sofa bed. Chrissie is ideal for long luxury holidays or liveaboard life.
She was exhibited at Crick Boat Show in 2016 and was reviewed in Waterways World.  Stoke Boats had several orders as a result.
High spec boats like this rarely come up for sale, which was why we had her built.
Layout.
Chrissie is a light, airy and spacious boat throughout. Good headroom, as I am 6’2″. With plenty of storage.
Stern deck, lockable diesel filler, 178 lt tank, with gauge. 2 seats with varnished hardwood tops, excellent access to weed hatch, 2 steel doors and “easy-slide” hatch leads into the fully instrumented steerers cabin with cubby holes, tools cupboard, inverter cupboard, 230v socket with USB ports, 12v cigar lighter type socket. All boards and steps are removable for full access to the engine compartment below.
These photos are from the stern forward. Please click each for full size pics and a slide show.

Bedroom
Double bedroom has 2 large opening portholes, under gunnel LED lights, double wardrobe, (hanging and shelves), plus single wardrobe with shelves, both with full LED lighting. Pull-out 5 ft wide bed (lengthways in the boat) which is on gas struts for easy access to the ample storage space below, enough for 2 folding bikes and life jackets etc. Wide over-bed cupboard with 2 reading lamps under.  Full height airing cupboard, large 33×16″ insulated HW cylinder/calorifier with immersion heater again with LED lighting, and room for upright vacuum cleaner etc. Double 13A 230v socket.

Off corridor bathroom
Giving complete privacy from the rest of the boat, and allowing full through access whilst in use (unlike a walkthrough bathroom). Inset porcelain corner basin and swan neck mixer tap, with cupboard under. 4 foot bath and shower over, with Bristan mixer and 4 fold shower screen. Pump-out loo to holding tank. Wall cupboard. Extractor fan. And radio speaker.
The bath wall has a unique colour map of the canal system printed on “warm-wall” foam board.

Galley kitchen
Midway on the starboard side into the galley is an impressive 2 door Houdini hatch with an additional perspex screen. Along with an integral 2 step wooden ladder below.
A full size 230v domestic fridge. Over which is a full size Belling oven with eye level grill. The cupboard above houses a Wifi 4/5G router with external high gain aerial.
Corian type work surfaces throughout, an under-mount bowl-and-a-half Zirco stainless steel sink with swan neck mixer taps. Inset 4 burner Spinflo gas hob oposite. The galley is fully equipped with plenty of cupboards, drawers, plinth drawers and a plate rack all with brushed brass shell handles and knobs. Deep corner cupboard with a carousel rack. Double unit doors housing a full size 230v automatic washing machine.
Opening pigeon loft with 4 small port holes. The galley has 2 Double sockets one with USB ports. Under unit LED lights.

Dining and saloon
Raised Pullman 4 seater Dinette allowing full views both sides, with my own design of “swing-back” seat on saloon side, which enables there to be 2 extra seats in the saloon area when guests are aboard. Making seating in the saloon for at least 5 adults. Large deep draw, plinth drawer, and further storage under seats. Pullman table also makes up a double bed. Double 230V socket and USB ports.
Saloon
With a 3 seater click-clack sofa bed, offering generous storage under.  Wall mounted JVC 24″ TV/DVD player on swivel bracket. 200x1200mm Plinth radiator. Multi fuel Morso stove. Clarion CZ505E  DAB/FM/bluetooth stereo radio/CD/USB with 5 speakers throughout the boat and a remote free-view box cabinet. LED wall lights and ceiling lights; double 230v socket with USB ports and a 12v cigar lighter type socket. Wide drawer under pullman for storage also acts as a foot rest when “swing-back” seat is in use.
The interior decor is Jill’s fabulous design, vertical T&G boards under gunnel, plywood to walls, T&G to ceiling, painted with light Farrow & Ball colour shades. Fitted carpet in saloon, hall and bedroom. Cushion flooring in the galley and bathroom.
The bathroom and galley windows have dropdown louvre blinds, the rest have curtains on brass rods.

Bow
Twin hardwood doors out to bow well deck and cratch. Double aerial socket. Plenty of seating incorporating 3 storage lockers, one also giving deep access to the bow thruster and it’s 24v battery bank. Over the cratch is a waterproof zipped cover with clear side sections and an Oak glazed cratch board giving good views forwards. The fore deck has storage for 2 x 15Kg gas bottles. Bubble gas tester fitted.

Cabin windows (8 off) by Wesley Windows are all “hopper style” which give good ventilation. An aluminium rescue ladder which doubles as a gang plank. Port and Starboard navigation lights. Brass mushroom vents. Barge pole, boat hook, extra fenders, bank spacer wheels, hoses and chimney etc.
