Back at the boat after taking Elsie home. 1st May. Off again from Droitwich towards Birmingham on the Birmingham and Worcester Canal. Overnight was below Astwood Lock. The next day it rained just as we set off.
Following day was better, and it was Jill’s birthday.
We have a couple of good mooring spots along here, but next up is the Tardebigge Flight of 30 locks, followed byTardebigge and Shortwood Tunnels before the much longer Wast Hill Tunnel at 2726 Yards.
It’s a pleasant journey really, the locks and tunnels only add character, at least in hindsight!
The Northern end of Wast Hill and we are on the outskirts of Birmingham near Kings Norton Junction. Straight on here deeper into Brum and our mooring at Oozells Street.
